Questions buyers ask

Still unsure about a particular week? Message the seller from its listing. Everything you send stays on the site.

Who pays if the seller owes levies?

Arrears are the seller’s to settle. We check the levy statement before a listing goes live, and resorts generally won’t transfer a week with levies owing.

What does the transfer cost?

The resort charges a transfer fee. When the seller has added it, the listing shows the amount and who pays it. If it doesn’t, ask the seller before you buy.

Is the seller who they say they are?

Before a listing goes live we check its share certificate, its levy statement and a letter from the resort. We don’t yet check sellers’ ID documents; that is coming.

Can I cancel after I’ve bought?

Before you pay, you can cancel the purchase from your dashboard and the week goes back on sale. After you pay, your money stays held until the transfer is done, so contact us and we’ll work it through with you and the seller.

Do I need RCI to swap my week?

Only to exchange it for a stay at another resort. Many South African resorts are affiliated with RCI or run their own swap club. The levy has to be paid before you can deposit a week.

What do I need to buy?

A free account. You pay into a held account and upload proof of payment; you never pay the seller directly.
